When we tell people that we are adopting, we usually either get a funny look of confusion, a surprised look of “Wow, you are brave!”  or this question…

“You’re adopting a what? Like a dog?”

When we explain that, “We are “like” adopting a child {not a dog}.” we are most often asked this…

Why?

It’s been the hardest question to answer because, unless you are a believer in Jesus, our answer is difficult to comprehend.

The short answer? Adoption is something that God placed on my heart.
