Have you ever caught yourself in an argument with your spouse about something you thought was petty and found yourself asking, “What’s the big deal?”.
Here’s the thing: just because it’s not a big deal to you does NOT mean it’s not a big deal to your spouse. We take a deeper look in today’s podcast.
How did we start to identify these BIG DEAL things with each other?
Take the love languages quiz or read the book and find out what you and your spouses love languages are. By learning each other’s love languages, you’ll be able to better understand why some things are a big deal to your spouse and just not a big deal to you.
Follow up practices to help make your marriage more:
- When something seems like a BIG DEAL to your spouse, take a moment to think it through and respond in a loving way that shows understanding and respect.
- If you don’t see or understand why something is a big deal, find time to ask during your catch me up chat when tackling The Love Habits each day.
- Seek outside mentorship and counseling if issues keep arising between the two of you. Sometimes an outsiders perspective can really help to show you.
